If you are from Karachi, Pakistan, then this next guest of mine is yours truly. The twenty-year-old has immersed himself in the world of music from where it began, what it is, and maybe even pushing it to what it can be!

Khizer Rizvi has covered a variety of songs in Urdu and English, from your fun pop sound to a stripped-down, rich traditional feal. Rizvi expresses that he is a devoted learner of music, Now this doesn't mean the young talent can’t put on a show. He has played at several open mics as a singer and a guitarist. He also plays the piano.

Now that you folks learned a bit about the guy and his performance let's have an inside peek of what goes on behind the scenes when Rizvi isn’t on stage. I spoke with Khizer Rizvi himself on the obstacles of being an aspiring artist and a musician in Asian society. We spoke on the joys of pursuing music and more! Keep reading to discover all that and do check out our podcast to hear the full interview.

He has made a couple of appearances advertisements primarily showcasing his vocals with a group of other young talents. — -couple — -You can spot him in Strepsils Stereo’s ad titled “Mumkin”, an acapella piece, and Dettol’s Safety/Safe Anthem by Hoga Saaf Pakistan. I have to say for Dettol’s ad, it is more than an ad, it is music, there is a message. From the truthful enforcing lyrics to the uplifting instrumental melody to the satisfyingly anticipated vocal harmonies. It is clear and the only right to say that it is more than a catchy jingle in advertisements. aIt is small to say strides are being made for not only the individual himself but for the future of music. The respect for it in Asian culture will surely increase.

There is hardly a time you'll find him without his guitar let alone jamming it out to some acoustic performances
